OPEN system containers are drums or totes (IBC) that do not contain a valve insert in the containers bung opening; potentially, allowing dirt, debris, bugs, etc. to enter the container and contaminate the diesel exhaust fluid. For open systems, use Drum Quick Pro (DQP) accessories.
Both open and closed systems are approved for use in DEF applications. Check with your DEF supplier for fluid warranty details.
