The diffuser is attached to the end of a drop tube to reduce turbulence and vapor loss during fuel fills. It also acts as a rag catcher.

Tank filling, manual sticking, water detection and cathodic protection (with certain models) can be accomplished without any change in procedure or routine. The diffuser will not restrict flow or cause any noticeable difference in filling.

An extended version is also available. If the tube is too short to meet code, purchase the extended diffuser instead of replacing the tube. This diffuser provides an additional 12 in. of length to the drop tube.
