LobePro Rotary Pumps - S Series - Sludge/Abrasive Rotary Lobe Pump
S Series pumps utilize unique hardened steel wear plates and specially treated housing segments to provide excellent lifecycle performance in abrasive material applications.

The S-series is designed for many abrasive fluids (including highly viscous fluids) requiring:

  • Pulse free or low shear pumping
  • Self-priming or a strong vacuum
  • Measured flow or constant pressure at different flow rates
  • Ability to pump entrained air or gases
Examples of Applications:

  • Wastewater sludge
  • Bio-Fuels Slurries Drilling mud
These rotary lobe pumps are typically used to pump sludge to and from thickeners, separators (such as belt presses, centrifuges, and rotary presses), digesters, clarifiers. They are in fact suitable for pumping any wastewater sludge which has had the hard solids over 1/8" and most grit removed for flows up to 2000 GPM and pressures up to 150 PSI. We can specify an in-line grinder, filter or knock-out tank should hard solids larger than 1/8" be present.

The nomenclature below describes the standard pump frame size, capacity, pressure capability, drive shaft arrangement, application and the serial number. Other options are available. Most common are listed below. Example: The pump series described above is a large rotary pump with rated capacity of 266 gallons per 100 revolutions. The pump is for high pressure application with a bottom drive shaft, pumping an extremely abrasive material. This pump also features: LARS.D.EN.F Cartridge Seals, Regular Drain Plugs, ANSI Standard Steel Transition Fittings, AGI 600 Housing Segments, NBR Orings, AR500 Wear Plates, NBR 70 Coated 4 Wing Helix Lobes. The pump serial number is 123456.
